Hip Hop Recording Artist 2 Chainz Denies Being Robbery Victim, Admits Marijuana Use

Tauheed Epps, better known by his recording pseudonym "2 Chainz," denied being the victim of an Armed Robbery in San Francisco. Police responded to reports that someone fired shots in a crowd where 2 Chainz was present. Police confirmed that 2 Chains was robbed at gunpoint and that his wallet and cell phone were taken. However, 2 Chainz insisted in tweets later in the day that he was not robbed and that no one stole any property from him. 2 Chainz told police that he wanted to handle the situation himself. 2 Chainz, though, did admit to smoking Marijuana stating that San Francisco had the "best smoke in the world."

Robbery is an extremely serious Violent Crime. The offense is made even more serious when the person is accused of using a firearm or other deadly weapon. In Nevada, Robbery is punishable by up to fifteen (15) years in prison. Using a Firearm or other Deadly Weapon in connection with a Robbery can bring an additional consecutive sentence of up to fifteen (15) years. It is not uncommon for Robbery victims to deny the offense, and the lack of a cooperative victim does not always prevent police and prosecutors from bringing charges against the alleged robber.
