A jeweler visiting the United States from Israel was allegedly robbed of $2,000,000.00 worth of diamonds. The man was reportedly leaving a friend's house in North Hollywood, California when his car was rear-ended by another vehicle. Two other vehicles then boxed the man in from the sides. The man stated that five (5) to six (6) suspects them approached his car. They were wearing dark clothing and masks. They smashed the passenger side window of the jeweler's vehicle and made off with the diamonds. One of the suspect vehicles was found sometime later. It had been crashed and abandoned. Police are calling the robbery "suspicious" in light of the fact that the diamonds were not insured and the jeweler did not have a bodyguard.

NRS 200.380. Robbery is punishable by up to fifteen (15) years in prison. If the Robbery is committed with a Firearm or other Deadly Weapon, it can be punishable by up to thirty (30) years.
