Woman Arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine Linked to Suspect in Dodger Stadium Beating case

Denise Piccone was arrested this week for Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell and Possession of a Deadly Weapon. Piccone was arrested at Arizona Charlie's Hotel and Casino. Police found three bags with a combined weight of slightly more than five (5) grams of methamphetamine, a switchblade knife and $1,900.00 cash in her possession. Piccone is the girlfriend of Dodger Stadium beating suspect Giovanni Ramirez. Ramirez has not been charged in connection with the beating but remains in jail on a Parole Violation.

Nevada drug laws are extremely harsh. Possession of as little as four (4) grams of methamphetamine can lead to drug trafficking charges. In Nevada, drug trafficking is non-probationable – which means that a court cannot place the defendant on probation and instead is required to sentence the offender to a mandatory prison term.
