"Teen Mom" turned Porn Star Farrah Abraham Cuts Deal in DUI Case

Farrah Abraham, originally made famous in MTV's "Teen Mom" and more recently for making porn, has reached a deal with prosecutors in her Driving under the Influence (DUI) case. Abraham was arrested for DUI in Nebraska in March, after she reportedly blew a .14 on a breath test. Under the deal, Abraham will plead guilty to DUI and she will receive probation. Prosecutors agreed not to seek jail time.

In Nevada, Driving under the Influence (DUI) charges are taken extremely seriously. A person convicted of even a first-offense DUI can face up to six (6) months in jail, court-ordered community service, extensive counseling and huge fines. A third DUI conviction within seven (7) years is a felony, and results in mandatory prison time of up to six (6) years – meaning that the person must be sent to prison and the Court cannot give the person probation even if it wanted to. A DUI that results in death or substantial bodily harm to another person is also a felony requiring mandatory prison time. However, a person convicted of DUI Causing Death or Substantial Bodily harm faces up to twenty (20) years in prison.
